7.0 Warnings

7.1 Electrical HazardLink

Where an operator's vehicle accesses a Hazardous Area, the parts installed must be hazardous area approved. Consult a hazardous goods consultant to assist with the installation.

7.2 Failure ModesLink

Where an on-board system can fail, the installer must consider how the Fuellox and fuel flow will be impacted. Control must be maintained under all failure conditions. For this reason, Fuellox recommends the use of “energise to open, spring return” valves and solenoids. These items have the benefit that on loss of electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic power to the Fuellox unit, the valve will close and top the pump. Power to Close valves and solenoids will remain open on loss of energy.

7.3 Pressure ToleranceLink

Where valve/solenoid is installed, be sure the maximum operating pressure exceeds the pumps maximum pressure. Where valves are installed, the pump must have its own recirculating capability, and if not one must be installed.

7.4 Thermal Pressure ConsiderationsLink

Inserting new valves can interfere with pressure relief design. Be sure to consider any additional pressure relief implications of a new valve installation.

7.5 System BypassLink

Be sure that what ever method is chosen to deploy the Fuellox system, ensure a ready and reliable way to ‘tag out’ or bypass the Fuellox unit.
